DESSERTS, PRIZES, SILENT AUCTION TO BENEFIT FERNANDINA BEACH MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Delectable desserts. A chance to win fabulous prizes. For just $10 you get both, plus you'll be supporting one of our local "A" schools in Nassau County, Florida, the Fernandina Beach Middle School on Amelia Island. Your Desserts of Amelia ticket is a $10 donation to help support the middle school. This annual event, organized by the F.B.M.S. Parent/Teacher Organization each year, is the school's main fundraiser.
Buying a $10 ticket allows you entry into Desserts of Amelia, being held Friday, February 8, 2008 from 6 to 8 pm at the Atlantic Recreation Center on Atlantic Avenue in Fernandina. Local restaurants generously donate the desserts and the local community donates items for the prizes and silent auction. Enjoy delightfully delicious desserts and also be entered into the drawing for a wonderful 2-night stay at Amelia Island Plantation (a $700 value!). Or win dinner for two at one of Amelia's top restaurant's, the Verandah. Another prize is a $500 deluxe patio gas grill, donated by Florida Public Utilities. Even if you can't make it that evening, please make a donation by purchasing a ticket, as you don't have to be present to win the prizes and it's for a great cause.
To purchase tickets, make a donation, or help out by volunteering at Desserts of Amelia, please call the Fernandina Beach Middle School at 904-491-7938. If you happen to know a middle school student, they are also selling the $10 tickets. Checks should be made out to "FBMS Desserts of Amelia." The silent auction also offers some wonderful items including a 1-night stay with fabulous dinner at the Ritz-Carlton with two luxury spa treatments, charter fishing trips, golf packages, and more great silent auction items you can bid on. Please do help support this local school. The proceeds are used to buy classroom supplies.
