February 4, 2013 - Plant Clinic
Becky Jordi, County Extension Director/Horticulture Extension Agent will conduct a Plant Clinic from 10 am until 2 pm at the Yulee Extension Office (A1A and Pages Dairy Road). All County residents are invited to bring plant samples showing problems in their landscapes. Problems will be identified and solutions offered for correction. There is no fee for this service. February 7, 2013 - Landscape Matters: Pruning Your Landscape
County Extension Director/Nassau County Horticulture Agent, Rebecca Jordi conduct a Landscape Matters class on pruning trees and shrubs in your landscape. The session will take place at the UF/IFAS Nassau County Demonstration Garden. February 9 & 16, 2013 - Crash Course on NE Florida Gardening
Rebecca L. Jordi, County Extension Director/Nassau Horticulture Agent, will conduct a two-day seminar covering topics on proper landscape practices and plants for our Northeast Florida area. The classes will be held on February 9 and February 16, from 9 am until noon at the Yulee Extension office. Newcomers and those new to gardening will gain much-needed information for their home landscapes. Registration and payment of $50 per person/$75 per couple (one book will be provided per couple) must be completed by Friday, February 1. Please make checks to Nassau County Extension. On Feb 12, 2013 we will discuss the selection, care, maintenance and feeding of shrub roses and old garden roses (OGR’s). On Feb 13, we will talk about pruning, preparation and growing of the tradition roses, Tea Roses, Climbers, Grandifloras, etc. The classes will be held at the James S. Page Governmental Complex in Yulee 10 am to 11 am.
