A public hearing about a new Nassau County beach ordinance is scheduled for Tues., July 28, 2020 at 6 pm.
County beach access for pedestrians extended to 24-hours a day, but parking lots close at midnight. No overnight camping allowed.
Fort Clinch State Park visitation is currently at 50% capacity. As of May 21, 2020, the campgrounds reopened and some beach restrictions have been lifted.
Nassau County, Florida residents can drive onto the beach to park at Peters Point and American Beach effective May 15, 2020. Active military, regardless of residency, will also be allowed to drive onto the beach.
