March 13, 2013 Nassau County Extension Landscape Matters: Rain Barrel Class (Note the March 4 Rain Barrel Class Registration Deadline)
The UF/IFAS Landscape Matters Rain barrel class will be held at the Yulee, Florida County Building on March 13, 2013 from 10 am – 11 am. Discussed will be the merits of water conservation and the ease of using rain water for gardening. This class will provide rain barrels which will be fitted for use in residential landscape homes. The cost will be $15 per barrel which will cover part of the cost of the barrels and hardware. DEADLINE TO REGISTER: Those desiring to attend the class will need to contact the local office no later than 5 pm Monday, March 4, 2013. Checks will need to be made out to Nassau County Extension. March 4, 2013 & March 18, 2013 Plant Clinics
Becky Jordi, County Extension Director/Horticulture Extension Agent will conduct a Plant Clinic from 10 am until 2 pm at the Yulee Extension Office (A1A and Pages Dairy Road). All Nassau County, Florida residents are invited to bring plant samples showing problems in their landscapes. Problems will be identified and solutions offered for correction.
