A public hearing about a new Nassau County beach ordinance is scheduled for Tues., July 28, 2020 at 6 pm.
Nassau County, Florida residents can drive onto the beach to park at Peters Point and American Beach effective May 15, 2020. Active military, regardless of residency, will also be allowed to drive onto the beach.
The city of Fernandina Beach has announced effective May 8, 2020, vehicles will be allowed to drive onto the beach to park in the sand at Seaside Park (near Sliders).
